Features

What your marina software should take off your desk

Six areas where marinas lose the most time to phone calls, paper and spreadsheets. Switch on the ones you need; add the rest later.

01

Berth allocation and bookings

Every berth on a map you can act on. Drag a visiting yacht onto a free spot and the booking, the arrival and the occupancy update for the whole team.

02

Gate and yard access control

Register visitors, crews and contractors at the gate. Decide which areas each one may enter and issue their access credentials automatically.

03

Service work orders

A request becomes a quote, the quote gets approved, the job lands with a person or department, with the hours they actually have free.

04

Dock and boat inspections

Checklists on a phone, filled in on the pontoon. Each item gets a status, a priority and a photo, and the inspection report is produced for you.

05

Yard equipment booking

Reserve equipment and tools before the job starts, several at once, and see when each one is free. Usage history builds up on its own.

06

Care plans for boats you look after

Recurring checks on boats left in your care, from templates you define. Every visit goes into the boat’s history, with an automatic report.

Add-ons when you need them: client app, QR code entry, notifications, boat tracking and custom features. Integrations with other systems are built on request.

Spreadsheets vs marina software

Still running the marina from a spreadsheet?

Spreadsheets work until three people need the same answer at the same time. This is what changes.

1. Does it fit how your marina works, or do you have to change?

No two marinas are organised the same way. Some run one basin, some a basin plus a yard and a fuel dock; some split work by department, others by person. Good marina software is set up around your facilities, roles and permissions, rather than forcing your team into someone else’s process.

Ask in the demo: “Can you set this up with our pontoons, our departments and our permission levels?”

2. Can you pay only for the parts you use?

A marina without a yard does not need work-order planning on day one, and a boatyard without berths does not need a berth map at all. Look for software that is split into modules, so you start with what you run today and add access control, inspections or equipment booking when you are ready, without migrating to a new system.

3. Who moves your existing data, and what does it cost?

Years of berth holders, boats and customers sit in spreadsheets or an older program. Moving them is where many projects stall. Ask whether the vendor does the import for you and whether it is included in the price. With Marina Software, setup and data migration are part of the deal.

4. Does it work on the pontoon, not just in the office?

Most marina work happens outside: checking a boat, letting a contractor in, inspecting a pontoon. If the software only runs on a desktop, the information reaches it hours later. Check that staff can use it from a phone or tablet, with photos, where the work is done.

5. Can it run more than one marina or yard?

Groups with several sites need one view across all of them, while each site keeps its own staff and rules. Ask whether every site runs from the same account with separate roles and permissions, or whether you would need one installation per site.

6. Where is your data stored?

Customer and boat records are personal data, and for European operators it matters where they live. Marina Software runs on servers in Europe.

7. What happens after go-live?

Ask what training is included, how fast support replies and what happens when you need a connection to another system. Marina Software includes basic training for your team, support that replies within 24 hours, and integrations developed on request when you need them.

Questions marinas ask us

Something else on your mind? Ask in the chat or on WhatsApp.

What does marina software cost?

Marina Software starts at €150 a month plus VAT. The exact price depends on the modules you switch on and the size of your facility. Setup and data migration are included.

Is Marina Software the same product as Nautilum?

Yes. Marina Software is the Nautilum platform, built and supported by the Nautilum team. This site focuses on what it does for marinas and boatyards.

Can you import our current data?

Yes. We import berths, boats and customers from spreadsheets or from the software you use now, at no extra cost.

Does it work for a boatyard without berths?

Yes. Yard access, work orders, inspections, equipment booking and care plans work on their own, without the berth module.

Can we run several marinas from one account?

Yes. Marinas, yards and service points sit in one account, each with its own roles and permissions.

Can the team use it on phones and tablets?

Yes. It works on computers, tablets and phones, so inspections and gate checks are recorded where they happen.

Which languages does it support?

The platform is multilingual, so staff can work in their own language.

How long does it take to get started?

A few days. We configure the platform, migrate your data and give your team basic training.

Does it connect to our other systems?

Integrations are developed on request. Tell us in the demo which systems you use and we will tell you what is possible.
